About the book What the author mentioned in his introduction:
(The jurist) Abu al-Layth al-Zahid Nasr ibn Muhammad ibn Ibrahim al-Samarqandi, may God Almighty have mercy on him, said:
I have collected in this book of the arts of science what cannot be ignored nor left behind for the specific and the general, and I extracted that from many books And I included in it what is clearer for the one looking at it and the one who desires it, and I explained the arguments for what he needs from the argument by the book, the news, the consideration and the effects, and I left the ambiguities of the speech, and the chains of hadiths were omitted in order to lighten it for those who desire it and to facilitate for the diligent and to seek the benefit of the people, and I hope for the reward from God Almighty [and I named it: The Garden of the Knowers ] And I ask God for success, for it is easy for Him, and He is over what He wills.
